We previously published the news regarding the Arena of Valor World Cup which consists of a prize pool of $500,000. Today, Tencent has announced the launch of the Valor Series in North America & Europe which will determine the teams that will be part of the World Cup Championship. The Valor Series begins on April 11th and teams can sign up starting today.
This series is composed of 6 consecutive weekly tournaments where the top teams of each region will compete to be in the regional Playoff. Each region will have a prize pool of $50,000 divided among the weekly tournaments and the Playoffs. Winning teams from each Playoff will then qualify for the Arena of Valor World Cup which will take place in Los Angeles.
According to Tencent, the Valor Series’ weekly tournaments ”will be preceded by an open online qualifier on April 7th & 8th’‘ as a criteria for team selection.
