Epic Games has already made $500 million on the iOS platform alone within less than a year. Furthermore, those who wish to participate in the Fortnite World Cup will need to be at least 13 years old. Starting April 13th until June 16th, Epic Games will run 10 online qualifier tournaments, each consisting of $1 million prize pool. The money will be distributed broadly, according to Epic Games. The company will select the top 100 solo players from these qualifiers, including the 50 best duos, which will be invited to New York for the Finals. Epic Games guarantees each of the participants at least $50,000.
Finally, there will be more tournaments available following this World Cup. Epic Games has previously promised to invest a total of $100 million in 2019.
